Installing Pools in Challenging Terrain
Installing a swimming pool in challenging terrain can be a difficult task, but it is certainly possible with the right design and construction team.
Steep slopes, rocky terrain, and limited access are common challenges that can make it difficult to install a pool in these types of environments.
Step 1 Site Survey
The first step is to survey the site carefully and identify any potential obstacles or challenges that may need to be addressed. It’s also essential to have a thorough understanding of the site’s geology, drainage, and soil composition to ensure a stable and long-lasting pool.
Step 2 Plan & Execution
After surveying the site and identifying any potential challenges, the design team can begin to develop a plan that takes into account the unique terrain and surroundings. In some cases, retaining walls may need to be built, or the site may need to be excavated to create a level surface for the pool. Other options may include installing a raised pool or partially above ground pool. By working closely with the design and construction team, it is possible to create a pool that seamlessly blends into the landscape while providing a functional and stunning addition to any property.

SCH40 PVC for our pools’ hydraulic plumbing system. We determine which diameter of pipe to use by calculating the flow rate required by the pumps, filters, spas and water features specified in the pool’s design. All suction ports entering the pool or spa are installed using APSP and ANSI guidelines for safety, and an automatic fill device is installed on all pools to save time and money. The hydraulic system will be pressure tested after completion. This will save time through construction by preventing any unexpected leaks in the system.
