How to Perform Mid-winter Pool Inspections
1. Check the Filter Equipment
Make sure breakers and time clocks are off. Check for damage and leaks, cracks, or misalignments around equipment. Make sure gas supply is off.
2. Check the Pool Cover
Look for holes in the pool cover. Make sure straps and water bags are in good shape.
3. Check the Pool Water
Look for changes like drops in pool water level. Check water pH, calcium hardness, alkalinity. Look for signs of algae growth or staining. Check your wall plugs.
After inspecting, give your pool a thorough cleaning, removing any limbs or other debris.
