Residential pool remodeling

Your pool, ready for its next chapter.

A complete renovation for a pool that has had its day — surface, tile, coping and the deck around it, planned as one project.

What would you like to change?

Most remodels combine several of these. Tell us which ones matter to you, and we look at the rest together on site.

  • The interior surfacePlaster or mini pebble that is worn, stained or rough.
  • The waterline tileTile that is dated, loose or missing.
  • The copingThe edge around the pool where water meets deck.
  • The surrounding deck or paversThe area you walk and sit on.
  • Equipment, plumbing and electricalOnly as part of the remodel — not as a separate repair visit.

Pool designs

We assess your existing pool and discuss which parts can be retained, remodeled or replaced.

We work with all types of pool designs:

  • Modern pool & spa
  • Raised cantilevered pool & spa
  • Pool & spa over parking garage
  • Tile or pebble finished pool & spa
  • Custom features: fountains, waterfall, bar and more

Remodel scope

  • Replaster, composite or mini pebble
  • Change old copper main suction line to PVC
  • Full remodel: swimming pool and/or hardscaping
  • Upgrade: upgrade specific swimming pool features
  • Change old copper return lines to PVC
  • New build: build from scratch or eliminate the existing swimming pool
  • Partial remodel: resurfacing and upgrading small features

About concrete inground pools

We use shotcrete for new pool shells. Existing-pool work is planned around the pool’s condition and the changes you want.

What a complete remodel can include.

A remodel is a coordinated renovation: several parts of the pool are renewed together so the finished result belongs together.

When customers get remodels, they usually also get pavers around the pool, a fire pit, a barbecue, and a cinder block or wood fence around the backyard.

After: Refinished kidney pool with light blue water and paver deck.

Surface and waterline

A new interior finish and new waterline tile change how the water looks and how the pool feels underfoot.

After: Finished free-form pool with paver deck, umbrella, and floats.

Coping and deck

New coping and a new deck or pavers bring the edge and the surroundings up to the standard of the water.

After: Finished modern pool and raised spa framed by large gray pavers.

Pool and spa together

Where a spa is part of the pool, it is planned and finished in the same project.

Only the surface needs to change? Resurfacing renews the interior finish without the rest.

How we plan your remodel.

Every pool starts from a different condition, so the plan is made for yours.

  1. We talk on site

We come to your pool, look at what is there and talk through what you want to change.

  2. We agree a written scope

You receive a written package with the items you want, plus anything safety or local code requires.

  3. We coordinate the work

One project manager keeps the trades in order and keeps you informed. You review each phase.

  4. We hand over

At the end we walk through the finished pool with you and explain what your project needs next.

Good to know.

Complete remodel or resurfacing — which one do I need?

If only the interior finish needs to change, resurfacing is the smaller project. If tile, coping or the deck should change as well, a remodel plans them together.

Can deck and tile work be combined with the remodel?

Yes. Deck, pavers, coping and waterline tile are commonly planned together with the pool surface so the work is coordinated in one project.

My pool has cracks, stains or old equipment. What happens with that?

We look at existing conditions in person during the estimate visit and discuss what we find. We do not assess a pool from photographs alone.

What should I prepare for a remodeling estimate?

Make a list of what you want to keep and what you want to change: the interior finish, tile, coping, deck, equipment or backyard features. Mention any cracks, stains or plumbing concerns. The pool is assessed in person, and the work is set out in a written scope rather than priced from photos alone.
